Doing the in class “sportraits” was a very fun experience. I decided to play around with the gels a little bit and really like how it turned out. I don’t think that I’ve been this happy with my results yet this year. In doing this in class experience, I feel like I can tell just how much I’ve grown in my abilities. Everything with this assignment just came a lot easier and quicker to me. Everything from the lighting settings to the posing. I definitely think there’s still a lot of space for me to grow but it’s cool being able to see and feel my growth in my abilities with lighting and posing and just overall interacting with the models. I do think that this is some of my favorite work of mine from this semester and I really look forward to what I’ll be able to do in the future. I will say that I was definitely still a little award with the models (but less that I had been before). I think that looking for pose inspiration online really helped me to be more confident in what I was doing, which, in turn, led to me being happier with my work.
