Doing the fashion assignment was definitely an adventure. We had our two models scheduled and we were going to do them on the same day… then one of them got sick. Unfortunate. But we were able to reschedule and get them done anyways. This project was a big learning experience in the use of lighting equipment outdoors in a natural setting. I will say it was a little difficult for me at first to even be able to tell that the lighting was providing the main source of light. I think it really helped being outside when it was kind of an overcast day. I think that if it had been a sunny day, the lighting wouldn’t have had any effect at all. But I also had a lot of fun doing the photos with our backdrop, we did have a prop that was a black chair which was a little difficult to photograph on our black backdrop but we set a light behind it so it would stand out a bit. I do love how these turned out, even though we had a few difficulties in getting this fashion assignment done. Having models that were flexible and able to make their schedules work was incredibly helpful to this assignment.
