The Person Behind the Work

Hey there, my name's Gia Biagioni and I am in my second year here at Central Michigan University. I am a Photojournalism student also pursuing a minor in Entrepreneurship. I have always loved taking photos whether its of the sky, my family, my pets, or even just the land around me. My favorite thing to do in my free time is to read, I got a few new series over winter break that I look forward to getting around to. I have two cats, Wendy and Loki, and I always miss them so much whenever I am up at school.

Some things that make my life a little different than others are that even though I am a youngest child and have two older brothers which sucks sometimes, but I have always been treated like an oldest because of family dynamics. My family is a little different than your typical family, ever since I was little, my dad has been in a wheelchair. He has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which caused him to lose a lot of use in his legs to the point of being chair bound. On top of that, one of my brothers has Down Syndrome, so whenever I am home I typically have to help out around the house a lot as my oldest brother is about to move out!

I love being at school up here in Michigan but sometimes it is a little difficult to be so far from home. I'm from Brownsburg, Indiana, which isn't too far away, but a five hour drive that involves three hours on the same road can be tiring. On a different note, I have created this blog, as well as the others that can be found under different pages to showcase my work in different classes that I am taking. This particular blog, under section 340, is for my Intro to Digital Journalism class and will showcase all my works for this class. My other tabs, including 420 and 423 all showcase my work from Studio Lighting class and a Visual Storytelling class which includes videos. I am excited for you to see my work!
